Celebrating Jay's at Umai-Ya

Actually this makan session was organized by Nic... but i only got to know it's for Jay 2 hours before fetching him from his house (sorry Jay).. It was quite sometime din in touch with him since our steamboat session last year Aug at his house.. haha....

I was given an impression as a Food Lover.. in more particularly a FOOD CRAZE.. there are FOOD most of the time in my entries and Facebook update... well my body size cant lie... that's one of the reasons to cause a delay on my 60kg project.. :p

Umai-ya has 2 outlets... One in Damansara Perdana.. another in Damansara Uptown... The one that Nic chosen was the Uptown...

This restaurant is kinda cozy and romantic... i quite like the ambiance... Downstairs with table setting.. and upstairs with Japanese-style.. we were arranged at upstairs :)

This restaurant serves a very good combination between traditional and fusion Japanese cuisine.. which still remain the most important element - the presentations..

well.. when comes to "Fusion" it really depends on the chef's creativity.. im quite impressed by the "Sushi Birthday Cake".. which is made spontaneously on request..

Topped with salmon sashimi.. decorated with sliced avocado.. fried egg.. fish row.. and fried salmon skin... layered with salmon flakes and mayo..

Umai-ya also offers "Eat & Drink All You Can" session on Saturdays & Sundays Noon between 11.30am and 2.30pm.. Well the "Buffet" session is not the buffet line type that you experienced at typical Japanese Buffet Restaurants where you need to HUNT for the food from the buffet line... There will be a selected menu during their "buffet" session at Umai-ya.. You'll just need to order from the menu and it's served freshly from the kitchen.. More Info
